FAQS

A quick Q&A with Anthony.
  • Who do you typically work with?

I work with successful professionals who want to take their work and life to the next level. However, I’m very selective and intentionally only work with a small number clients at any given time. To me, it’s about quality rather than quantity — I’d rather dedicate my time and efforts to a select few.

  • What is “executive coaching”?

The International Coach Federation defines coaching as, “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise personal and professional potential.” My role as a coach is help you:

    1. Become fully self-generative and self-motivated to achieve what you really want.
    2. Take smart actions rather than just be busy.
    3. Set larger, more rewarding goals in your personal and professional life.
    4. Focus on things that are really important to you and remove roadblocks.
    5. Move from managing tasks to inspiring people.

  • How do you deliver your coaching? What does the process look like?

Our relationship usually begins with a personal interview (either face-to-face or virtually). This allows us to get to know each other and helps me understand your current opportunities and challenges, define the scope of our relationship, identify priorities, and establish desired outcomes.

Coaching sessions can then be conducted through a mix of phone, video call, or face-to-face. Sessions last between 45 minutes and an hour. Between sessions, I may ask you to complete specific actions that support the achievement of your identified goals.

  • How long do you work with your clients?

The length of a coaching partnership varies depending on the person’s wants and preferences. For some, three to six months may be enough, while others may find it beneficial to work together for much longer. Of course, the decision is entirely yours, and usually centred around your goals, the way you like to work, the frequency of our meetings, and your financial resources.

  • How can the success of the coaching process be measured?

Part of measuring success is having clear goals on what you want to achieve from your coaching. Measurement may be thought of in two distinct ways. First, there are the external indicators of performance such as increased income or revenue, obtaining a promotion, and performance feedback from direct reports, colleagues, managers, clients, and customers.

Second, there are internal indicators of success such changes in your self-awareness and awareness of others, shifts in thinking which inform more effective actions, and shifts in your emotional state which inspire confidence. Ideally, external and internal metrics are incorporated.

What’s in a name?

Karri trees are the tallest hardwood tree in the world, native and unique to Western Australia.

Thanks to their hardiness and towering height — up to 90 metres — these trees were used as forest fire lookouts. So, what’s this got to do with coaching? Quite simply, Karri Tree is here to help business leaders grow — and grow immensely.

If you're wandering through the forest and get stuck in the mud, you can latch onto a karri tree and pull yourself out. At other times, you can climb a karri tree and get a birds' eye view of the entire forest.
